Tour of the US Fish & Wildlife Forensics Lab
SOFaT gets a private tour of the world's premier animal forensics laboratory located right here in Southern Oregon.

AIFF Deadline for Launch Student Competition
Locally-made student films have an extended deadline, and there is no cost to submit, but they must be in by January 30th to be considered for the 11th annual Ashland Independent Film Festival. See their website for details.

Ray Robison is currently in post-production on three projects: the short drama "Four Daughters", feature-length comedy "Vampire Camp" and feature-length fantasy "Reading of Hammer Ridge." Development is underway on a music video and an education/motivational video, both of which Robison will direct.

Darren Campbell of Coldstream Creative is excited to announce the world premiere of the documentary "The Next, Best West" at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City, CA, January 13-15. Luis Rodriguez just finished a shooting and editing a series of video projects for SOU's Theatre department. As a professional dancer, he was recently featured in two commercials. He is also currently producing live dance shows in the Northwest, which will roll over into some video projects.

Gary Kout is producing two upcoming commercials: the 50th anniversary spot for Motel 6 for King & Country and The Richards Group, and another Chevy Sonic spot for Slim Pictures and Goodby Silverstein, a follow-up to the acclaimed "Skydive" spot shot this past September. He also just completed a schedule and breakdown for "My Summer as a Goth", an indie feature in development to shoot in Southern Oregon.

Sean McCoy did audio post for a PBS documentary, sponsored by OPB, concerning the disbursement of NGO money after the Haiti earthquake, produced by Film@11 in New York. He also did audio post for a TV project called "Incredible Creatures that Define Design," where scientists turn to nature to solve technological problems, produced by Exploration Films in Colorado.

Matthew Doell's newest project is writing for the production company Hungryman in Los Angeles, working on a series of :30 television spots for ESPN Fantasy Baseball set to air this February.

David Ruben has created new ads promoting video game accessories for the online game Team Fortress 2. These accessories are ray guns designed by Academy Award winner Greg Broadmore, conceptual designer for "King Kong" and designer of the steampunk universe of Dr. Grordbort. On February David will receive an award for the “Most Hilarious Webisodes” category from the Los Angeles Comedy Awards, sharing the award with Greg Broadmore.
